Description
T.E.P." (Department of Emergency Incidents) is located on the ground floor of the "Eastern Building" within the complex of the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas." It first operated as the first coordination center for emergencies in the late 1960s. The Department of Emergency Incidents (T.E.P.) of the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas" is the most visited emergency department in the Attica region, as it was visited by 117,350 people in 2017, according to data from the Ministry of Health's Esynet.
The project includes:
- The renovation and reorganization-upgrade of the existing Department of Emergency Incidents (T.E.P.) located on the ground floor of the "Eastern Building" of the Hospital, with a total area of 1,192.00 m2.
- The redevelopment of the outdoor space located in front of the main entrance for patient access to the T.E.P., which includes:
- Raising the level of the asphalt road to facilitate access for patients with mobility challenges.
- Replacing the existing metal canopy that covers the patient access area due to its deterioration.
The overall renovation project (including its design and implementation) is a donation to the Hospital by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.
