Description
9 km highway Construction, of the North Axis Highway of Crete, between the intersections of Gournes & Kastelli / Hersonissos.
6 km is constructed as unilateral or bilateral widening of the existing highway, while one branch of a 3 km section is replaced by a new route of about 1.3 km that includes the construction of the new bridge at Aposelemis river, length 440 m, manufactured with the cantilever method.
Subject to the project are the construction of the intersections of Gournes & Kastelli / Hersonissos, the intersection with the old national highway in Hersonissos area, construction of parallel roads, restoration of vertical local roads and connections to the local road network of about 5.5 km length.
The project also includes includes rainwater drainage networks to the sea, lighting, sound barriers and landscaping works.
