Description
The project’s objective is the reconstruction of the damages that were made on Andros’s road network, due to intensive and long rain falls in the region during February 17th - 20th,2003. The pavement and asphalting works of the provincial roads accessing the island’s monasteries, are also included.
Technical Data:
- Earthworks, like removal of rock falls, excavations, formation of slopes, widening, cleaning and casing side trenches, construction of embankments etc.
- Technical works for the reconstruction and improvement of the hydraulic protection of roads, like drain pipe cleaning, restitution, expansion of existing drain pipes or construction of new ones, along with the entrance-outlet technical works, restitution or construction of cased channels, construction of drainage channels, trenches drainage works, etc.
- Technical works for the protection of the body and the deck of the road, like shoring walls of concrete (armored and non-armored/weightiness), of wire boxes or stone works, restitution of stone fences, etc.
- Pavement reconstruction and improvement works, like paving and construction of asphalt layings with on site produced asphalt mixture.
- Signage and safety works, like safety parapets, signs, pavement lining, etc.
